The Jiangnan Water Town Tour will take you to experience the most charming water town scenery in China. This tour will take you to visit four famous ancient towns in Jiangnan: Zhouzhuang, Xitang, Wuzhen, and Nanxun. You'll experience the tranquility and beauty of small bridges, flowing water, and traditional houses, taste authentic Jiangnan cuisine, and immerse yourself in rich traditional culture.
The journey starts from Suzhou, passes through Shanghai, and finally arrives in Hangzhou, lasting 8 days and 7 nights, providing an in-depth experience of the unique charm of Jiangnan water towns. Each ancient town has its own unique historical and cultural background and architectural style, bringing you constant surprises throughout the journey.
Upon arrival in Suzhou, you will be picked up by our shuttle and transferred to your hotel for rest. In the evening, you can freely explore Suzhou's night scenery and experience the modern charm of this thousand-year-old city.
After breakfast, we head to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town to visit Zhang Hall, Shen Hall, and Fu'an Bridge. In the evening, take a traditional wooden boat to enjoy the黄昏景色 of Zhouzhuang. Stay overnight at a characteristic inn in Zhouzhuang and experience the peaceful night of the Jiangnan water town.
After breakfast, we travel to Xitang Ancient Town to visit Yanyu Corridor, Shipi Alley, and Shengtang. In the evening, take a traditional wooden boat to enjoy the dusk scenery of Xitang. Stay overnight at a characteristic inn in Xitang and freely taste Xitang's local snacks.
After breakfast, we head to Shanghai to visit The Bund, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, and Yu Garden. In the evening, you can choose to enjoy Shanghai's night view or have free time. As an international metropolis, Shanghai blends tradition and modernity, making it an important stop on your Jiangnan journey.
After breakfast, we travel to Wuzhen to visit the Dongzha Scenic Area, including Mao Dun's Former Residence and Jiangnan Bed Museum. In the afternoon, explore the Xizha Scenic Area and enjoy the water town scenery. In the evening, you can watch the "Impression·Wuzhen" performance or freely explore the Xizha night view.
After breakfast, we head to Nanxun Ancient Town to visit Xiaolianzhuang, Jiaye Library, and Zhang Shiming's Former Residence. Compared to other ancient towns, Nanxun has fewer tourists and retains more original features, allowing you to deeply experience the tranquil life of Jiangnan water towns.
After breakfast, we travel to Hangzhou to visit the West Lake Scenic Area. You can choose to take a boat tour of West Lake and enjoy the Ten Scenes of West Lake, such as Broken Bridge with Remnant Snow and Moon Over the Peaceful Lake in Autumn. In the afternoon, you can visit Lingyin Temple or Hefang Street to experience Hangzhou's Buddhist culture and local customs.
After breakfast, we will arrange airport/train station transfer according to your flight or train schedule, concluding your pleasant Jiangnan water town journey.
